The Procon J08 is a specialized data bridge designed to connect older heavy-duty engines to modern industrial control systems. Many reliable engines from the late 90s and early 2000s communicate using the J1708/J1587 protocol. This gateway translates that engine data into Modbus RTU, which is the standard language used by Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), building management systems, and remote monitoring hardware.
It acts as a translator between your engine’s digital brain and your monitoring equipment. By converting raw J1708 data into a structured Modbus memory map, it allows you to view engine RPM, oil pressure, fuel consumption, and more on a standard touchscreen (HMI) or a computer-based management system.
