Convert proprietary CAT Data Link information (Caterpillar equipment) into a non-proprietary format for use with NON-Caterpillar aftermarket components. Allows customers to use non-Caterpillar components in Caterpillar equipment.
The TMTCDL39 is a "smart bridge" designed for Caterpillar® owners. Many older Cat engines communicate using a unique language called Cat Data Link (CDL). Most modern displays, GPS trackers, and dashboards speak a different language called SAE J1939. This device sits between them, translating CDL data into J1939 in real-time so your equipment can finally "talk" to your engine. It reads the data coming from your Caterpillar Engine Control Module (ECM) and instantly converts it into a standard J1939 format. This allows you to view critical engine data - like RPM, oil pressure, and fault codes - on modern digital displays or telematics systems that wouldn't normally work with an older Cat engine.
